Hi, I’m Anna!
It’s so great to meet you!
The Thrifty Homemaker was born a year after my first child, when my husband and I learned that we were expecting a second little miracle. We decided to take the leap of faith and give me the badge of honor, “stay at home mom”, and so I said goodbye to my colleagues and packed up my office.
With our family expanding, and our comfy income instantly snapped in half, I had to learn how to (wait for it) budget?!
While my husband and I had always been mindful of our spending, losing my salary meant really doubling down, and being intentional about every dollar.
Luckily for me, I’ve spent my entire life watching my immigrant babushka (grandmother) and mama stretch the hard-earned American dollar, plan meals around simple produce and pantry staples, and keep clean, tidy homes. They lovingly taught me that all of those things are possible, and necessary, simultaneously!
I lean on them as a young thrifty homemaker, and I lean into my passion for organization, cleanliness, and a desire for a peaceful, thrifty home life.
The Thrifty Homemaker is here to help you focus on organizing your budget, plan for meals in advance, and inspire you to declutter your home and life, as I have learned to do so during my transition into a full-time homemaker.
